so my apartment has a odd shape and design to it
so when the husky came up with her idea i thought cool
but i also thought decorating my cave might be like putting a dress on a pig but amazingly a coat of paint and a few hand me downs have done wonders the curtains alone brighten up the joint beyond so much so that i plan on having a few people over to show the new color
the hex feels gone
words are running thin now pal

the one that the Husky has been having to deal with
she paints my place and i point out spots she has .......
i sit and heckle her

So my place is the project

so my place had taken on a gloominess that has been there for far too long....
yes that be the truth asit was
yes yes
so my place had the feeling of having a hex
gloom and doom
evil little fairies had taken over the place
to the point that i didnt even feel comfortable here in my own home
my friend so i began to think
it was time to make my place hex free and much much more welcoming at least to myself.

first step i thought curtains

god i'ld kill for cigarette right now

so where were we curtains?

so what did i have was sheets and old dusty falling apart blinds
to cover up my windows
let us just say not as nice as the curtains that husky done did
so how did come to husky taking on the task of making my place much more welcoming
well to tell you the truth i dont know
i knew she was good with a needle and thread
so i asked her if she would help me go to a thrift shop to pick out some fabric or curtains and see if she could make them look cool
she the husk-a-doo said yes but she might have a better idea
which was so true
well my friends i will continue again soon
but for now nicotine tobacco is in need now
need my fix pal
how bout you whats a your vice ??

Before and after computer office, now bedroom

It's started and going!
The first room was painted.
I made curtains with fabric donated from Johanna, and Becky.
I found a bed frame, and we got rid of the milk crates.
The plant is from Johanna, and Ariel.

Thank you to all the others that have all ready helped or offered to help : Emily(Shelve), and Emily(Table), Rose(paint), Julia(comforter), Mike, Ken, Char, Emi, Barb that have offered labor...

Marketplace Hours: Thursday & Friday: 5-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm July 17-20

Decorate a blind Man's house is a collaboration with Jorge [Gor-ge]. Jorge contracted MS a few years ago. Since then, he is losing some leg abilities, and his eye sight. Jorge can no longer work and lives off a low disability check. Without sight, it's almost imposable for Jorge to get furniture (no driving) and even see what his house looks like.

For this Triple Base group show, i propose to focus on helping Jorge redecorate his apartment. He can still see colors and shapes. This project is with your help about grass root support, recycling of household items and thinking about "decoration" from a blind perspective. In the gallery i will be sewing curtains, painting furniture, upholstering or any other activity depending on object i can get donated. I will be happy to discuss social security issues, and tell you how good we have it in France.
